How to Install XAMPP for Windows

XAMPP, Cross platform-Apache-MySQL-PHP-Perl in its abbreviated form, is a software that is used to (test) run a live website in a local directory of a personal computer. The freeware was developed by Apache Friends and its current stable version is 1.8.1 and it also comes in a lightweight or 'lite' version. The said freeware is said to be 'cross platform' since it can be run in several operating systems such as Windows, MAC OS X, Linux, and Solaris. On the other hand, WordPress and B2evolution are some of the scripts known to work well with XAMPP.
